Prepare

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1Pe 1:13 ESV)

It all comes down to the Cross

In what feels like the quickening birth pains our Lord spoke of (in Matthew, Mark, Revelation) before He returns, I feel like there are insurmountable topics to speak to that would only add to the noise around us. I know I am paying less attention to the fallen world and more to His body, His word, and His will. What have we to gain in this world when we are saved and born anew in Christ? What have we to fear? We have only to stand in His armor and trust in Him. To that end, we must endure in our mission as Christians, and trust in His will. Fear not. Hold fast.

The Free Burma Rangers continue to be an inspiring force of Christ manifest, and their creed is ever more important:

Love each other

Unite and work for freedom, justice and peace

Forgive and do not hate each other

Pray with faith,

Act with courage

Never surrender

To that end I want to share (some of) the latest guidance regarding the hardening of our personal and local ECOM radio station infrastructure for the critical threat of an EMP. There is a lot of talk about what is effective and what is not, but to bring a practical awareness of what the threat actually entails and the guidelines for mitigating such an event in our personal areas of operation is important to present as clearly and soberly as possible. Please take the time to read these completely, and then take the steps to implement their guidance. As we have been saved in Christ and therefore are prepared for when He returns or when we are called home, our mission to be His ministers to His body and His messengers to those who have yet to accept Him is still the priority mission.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
(1Pe 1:14-25 ESV)
